Azariah (Az) King was born on April 8, 1927 and raised in Little Heart’s Ease. His parents were Bartholemew and Adora (Cooper) King. He was the son of a fishermen and was exposed to the fishery at an early age. He fished during his working years and retired during the cod moratorium in 1992. He spent most of his fishing years with his son Clarence and pursued mostly the trap fishery. He passed away on June 2, 2015 at the age of 88.
