HISCOCK, Archibald – (December 26, 1935 – March 2, 2017) – Passed peacefully away at the Bonavista Health Care, Bonavista on March 2, 2017, Archibald Hiscock, age 81, from Little Hearts Ease. Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Lucy; parents, Robert and Sarah Hiscock; brothers, Hayward and Harrison Hiscock and sister, Alice Drodge. Leaving to mourn, daughter, Tammy (Clarke Drover); son, Brian Hiscock (Geraldine) ; sister, Mariah Jacobs; granddaughters, Dana (Andy), Dawn (Chris) and Brittney (Glen); great grandchildren, Brianna, Lennox and Emily and nephew and nieces. A cremation has taken place. Funeral service , officiated by Geraldine Fifield, assisted by Raymond Whalen, took place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Little Hearts Ease, on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at  2 pm.
Interment will take place at a later date.

KELLY, Ernest – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, February 26, 2017, Ernest Kelly of Gooseberry Cove, aged 66 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Linda of 43 years; sons Bradley (Lori) and Gavin (Kim); grandchildren Katie, Riley, Braden, Bailee and Brianna; sister Mary Lambert; brothers Lewis (Frances), Derrick, Earl (Arlene), Sterling (Edie); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Bethany United Church, Southport with interment at the Bethany United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease.

SMITH, Roy – Passed peacefully away at his home surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, Roy Smith of Hatchet Cove, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan; sisters Belinda Smith and Ida Drover. Left with fond and loving memories his children Harold (Alice), Della (Dave Ivany), Michelle (Al Curtis), Roger (Kim Kelly), Kimberley (Dean White), Garrison, Tina (Rod Bushey) and Dennis (Kelly); grandchildren Danielle, Robyn, Jessica, Shane, Allison, Ashton, MacKenzie, Nathaneal, Joshua and Gavin; great grandchildren Dominic and Devan; step-grandchildren Dayna, Tammy, Kerri, Keith and Jeremy; special family Olive, Diane and Lorraine; sisters Gloria (George), Rachel (William-deceased), Eva (Patrick), Myra (Russell) and Alice (James); brothers Eliab (Hannah Jane-deceased) and William (Frances); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove. Funeral service took place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove with interment at the United Cemetery, Hatchet Cove. In his memory, donations may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John’s.

WHALEN, Hedley – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, Hedley Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 81 years. Predeceased by wife Emma; sons Bruce and Tony; brother William. Left with fond and loving memories his children Rick (Donna), Brian (Natalie), Wayne (Rayna), Debbie Baker (Roger) and Bonnie Dean (Tony); grandchildren Mitchell, Reilly, Kim, Sherry, Troy, Brian, Bradley, Emily, Rebecca, Tyler and Sarah; great grandchildren Tory, Megan, Kennedy, Mya, Kate and Rhiannon; sisters Ethel Jacobs, Irene Critch (Roy) and Marcie Hillyard (George); brother Stan (Woodrow); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Wesley Untied Church, Caplin Cove with interment at United Cemetery, Caplin Cove.
