AVERY, Winston – Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Home, Carbonear on Thursday, April 21, 2011, Winston Avery of Southport, aged 59 years. Predeceased by father William Avery and sister Barbara Avery. Left with fond and loving memories his mother Myra Avery; sisters Elaine Stringer (Garfield) and Evelyn Avery; niece Melanie Stringer (Terry); nephew Lee Stringer (Tenille); nephew Philip Churchill (Renee); great niece Brooklyn Stringer; great nephews Lucas Churchill and Liam Stringer; and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Sunday, April 24, 2011 from Bethel United Church, Little Hearts Ease with interment at Bethany United Cemetery, Southport.

DEAN, Ronald Lloyd – Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, Lloyd Dean of Caplin Cove, aged 67 years. Predeceased by wife Bonnie, parents William John and Laura and sister Delphine Simmons. Left with fond and loving memories his daughter Roxane (Tom); son Rodney (Lisa); special friend Evelyn Pitcher; sisters Millicent Lambert (Hector) and Francis Kelly (Lewis); brothers Eric, Jim (Joyce), Gladstone (Linda), Allan (Meta) and Alonzo (Janet); sister-in-law Diane Poole (Russell); brother-in-law Bob Hunt (Jackie) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at United Church, Southport with interment at United Cemetery, Southport. LAMBERT, Eldred – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, Eldred Lambert of Southport, Trinity Bay, aged 75 years. Predeceased by parents Jane and Henry Lambert; brother William and sister Blanche. Leaving to mourn his passing are wife Enid (Dawe); sons Henry (Paulette), Lloyd (Brenda); grandchildren Janine and Cassandra; great grandson Logan, Wayne (Denise) and granddaughter Chelsea, Glen (Sandy), grandchildren Samantha and Tiffany; brothers Gordon (Ivy) and Lawrence (Nancy); sisters Mildred Smith (late Issac), Edith (Max Lambert) and Joyce (Jim Dean); and a large circle of family and friends. MARTIN, Hayward – (March 5, 1928 – December 11, 2011) – It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hayward Martin announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre on Sunday December 11, 2011 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mildred, sons Donald (Imelda), Ralph (Rosemary), Wayne (Shirley), daughters Sharon (Ron) Bennett, Christine (Craig) Kennedy, 8 grandchildren Sean, Tracy, Janis, Renee, Jordan, Colton, Stephanie, Brittany, 10 great grandchildren, sister Pearl Hodder, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Anora & Joseph Martin, step-mom Hannah, foster parents Dinah & Ralph Smith, sister Katherine Peddle & brother John Martin. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday December 14, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Thursday December 15, 2011 from 10-12 A.M… Funeral Service will take place on Thursday December 15, 2011 at 2 P.M. from Westside Tabernacle, Elizabeth Street with Pastor Calvin Andrews officiating. Interment to take place at a later date in his home town of Little Hearts Ease. WHALEN, Eliza Mildred [nee Martin] – Passed away suddenly but peacefully on March 4th, 2011, Eliza Mildred Whalen, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband William S. (2003). Left to mourn children: Sharon (Bruce Burry), Gloria (Len Churchill), Sylvia (Jim Bulger), Harold Martin (Barbara); grandchildren: Shannon Churchill (Melissa), Julie (Trevor Fiander), Becky (Irving Keating), Lesley Bulger (Shane Henley), Alan Martin; great-grandchildren Jack and Sam Fiander, Teagan Keating and soon to arrive brother or sister; sisters-in-law: Florence (Floss) Martin, Dorothy (Dot) Martin, and numerous special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, as well as a wide circle of friends through Wesley Church, L.O.B.A. and her bowling leagues. WINSOR, Ivy Lorraine (nee Drodge) – (December 16, 1929 – January 16, 2011). Passed away surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of Capt. Eli and Ethel Drodge, Little Heart’s Ease. Predeceased by her husband Leslie J. Winsor (2001), sister Marcella Tucker and infant brother Wilfred Drodge. Leaving to celebrate her life with cherished memories are son Gary (Diane), daughter Joy (Ken) Noseworthy, grandchildren David, Stephen and Andrew Winsor and Allison Noseworthy, sister, Frances Bowering and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, January 17, 2011 and Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 19th, from St. James United Church, Elizabeth Avenue, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
