AT HEART’S EASE
The Trinity Record, of the 16th inst., detailed the account of an accident at Heart’s Ease some time previously, by which one girl was drowned and another narrowly escaped a similar fate. It is the old story of children venturing on the ice when it is not sufficiently strong to bear them, and contains an extra caution in the children round and about St. John’s. The frost of the last two nights have caught over some of the lakes, but they are still too dangerous to go on. Tbs Record also slates that diphtheria has appeared in Trinity, one child dying from it.
