ALAN G. BENSON, President, THE NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB, INC.
Alan G. Benson, President of the Newfoundland Club, Inc., is a native of Hillview, T. B. For some five years he was Collector of Customs at Clarenville and later was engaged in Government survey work in various parts of Newfoundland. He came to the United States in 1921, and at the present time is a professional auditor on the staff of Messrs. Barrow, Wade, Guthrie Co., 170 Broadway, New York City, the oldest accounting firm in the U. S. A. Mr. Benson is prominent in many activities in Brooklyn and elsewhere. His wife was the former Miss Violetta Janes, daughter of Mrs. and the late George Janes of Clarenville.
