Fishing Craft is Fire Victim
With the flames rapid in their progress, a fire compelled Captain and crew of the Newfoundland schooner ‘A. Davis” to abandon ship and land on the Labrador coast this Monday. Under command of Captain William Barfitt of Long Beach, Random, the schooner was fishing in that area. Since receipt of this news, it has been arranged to have the coastal boat “Kyle” make a call where the captain and crew of the ill-fated craft are now and to take them to Random and adjoining communities where they reside.
