—THE JANE AINSLIE.—This schooner, which was purchased about a month ago from Messrs. Harvey & Co. by Mr. Levi Frost, arrived here from Carbonear last week. She is now on the slip undergoing repairs principally the putting in of the greater part of a keel. Her bottom otherwise is sound, in need of but slight repair. Her timbers, plank and ceiling are sound; her top-sides and stern show signs of wear, however, but on the whole she is a good schooner for the Labrador trade. Mr. Frost intends by-and-by to have top-sides renewed, he will then have a good vessel for his requirements. The sum for which the Jane Ainslie was purchased by her present owner it is said, was $260; He has got good value for his money._______________________________
