Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit

The Southwest Arm Historical Society is in its final planning stage for the upcoming ceremony to honour the men from Southwest Arm who served with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit during WWII and three women who served with the Auxiliary Territorial Service.
 
A ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Due to Covid restrictions, the ceremony will be by invitation only.
 
There will be two mementos available for this occasion:
 
Commemorative Booklet
 
The commemorative booklet will be approximately 280 pages and will feature two pages for each individual. In addition to the 71 loggers, 3 women will be featured that served with the Auxiliary Territorial Service and married loggers from our area.

Mini Banner
 
The mini banner will be identical to the larger banner that will be on display during the ceremony to honour those who served.
