Page 58 – In Memoriam
In fond remembrance of my father George Hiscock of Hodge’s Cove who died of pneumonia aboard the sealing ship Viking at the ice fields on March 15th, 1923 aged 48 years also my mother Mary Hiscock who died at Hodge’s Cove April 12th 1931 aged 58 years.
How very close their memory
Lies in my heart today
Though years have passed
Those treasured thoughts
Can never fade away.
But they will still grow sweeter
As the days and years go by
For in beloved memory
My parents cannot die.
Mrs. Ben Smith, Hillview.
