Page 51 – In Memoriam
In loving memory of a dear husband and father William Martin, Little Heart’s Ease, who passed away on June 30, 1965.
You suffered much in silence
Your spirit did not bend;
You faced your task with courage
Until the very end.
Friends may think we have forgotten
When at times they see us smile,
But they little know the heartache
Our smiles hide all the while.
But some day we’ll meet again
Beyond the toil and strife,
And clasp each other’s hand again
In heaven, that happy life.
There is no parting from those we love,
No distance can divide;
For today in memories garden
We still walk side by side.
Always remembered by wife Miriam and children.
______________________________
In fond remembrance of our dearly beloved daughter Sarah Frances Drover, Hodge’s Cove, who passed away on May 23, 1968, age 54 years.
There is a home that lies beyond –
And past its golden door
Awaits the one who is now away
Not lost, just gone before;
And in that home that lies beyond
The Master will prepare
A place for you and when he calls
We will meet our loved one there.
Composed by her mother Mrs. Llewellyn Barfett, Clarenville.
