- The PTA of Hillview held their regular monthly meeting at the U.C. School on Monday, April 25th. The meeting was presided over by Mrs. Meta Churchill, Vice President, who has now taken over the duties of President due to the absence of Herbert Standford who is working in Labrador City. Mr. Nicholas Avery was elected to the Executive Committee at this meeting.
- The main business of the meeting was the school bus system that the PTA and School Board are endeavouring to have established in the Hillview area. It was decided that the Executive would request a meeting with the Chairman of the U.C. School Board at Clarenville to find out all the details of cost, etc. of operating a bus to Clarenville Regional High School.
- We are hoping to have Dr. Charles L. Roberts attend a meeting especially planned for May 6th.
- It was also decided to have a Take-out cold Turkey Supper on May 26th to raise funds for prizes to be given to the school children at the end of the year. The PTA also hopes to raise enough money to buy a much needed projector for the school.
