Good Price for Labrador Catch – Queen’s Cove (From our Correspondent): The last crew of fisherman arrived from Labrador on October 1 [1947]. They are George Vey and sons of Long Beach who have been fishing at Pack’s Harbour and are the only crew who have secured any fish. It is reported that they have secured between 250 and 300 quintals.

Several crews who were fishing the past summer on the Southern Shore have shipped their catches to St. John’s and are very much satisfied with the price received which is only one dollar lower than last year.
