Correspondence 2 and 3 re Lily Beatrice

St. Jones Within

Feb 7th 1916

To the Insurance Co Trinity,

Dear Sir

Your letter of the 30th to hard and noted. You say that the D.S. (Note: D.S. is abbreviation for Deputy Sheriff and reference letter to Trinity Mutual on Jan 31st 1916) have paid for a writ by Allan Goodridge & Sons dor debt of $260.00 I owed him $500 last fall and paid $250.00 and agreed to pay the Bal later on but it looks as if Goodridge took advantage of me and taken $10.00 off me and I am  not satisfied to that if I refused Goodridge if f would be different but I didn’t. Don’t pay any money until you here from me again. Goodridge & sons haven’t written me and I don’t think law will let Goodridge do as he like I may say. I may say that I have been dealing with Goodridge for 18 years and that is all I owe him.

I am yours truly

Matthias King

(Note: There is some numbers of what appears to be a calculation of money on right-hand side of letter as follows:

                              260.00

                              126.71

                               33.29 )
